Picking technology
Patented picking technology enables extremely fast scanning and collection speeds, leading to rapid cell retrieval. Gentle cell transfer results in high cell integrity and growth rates. For applications such as single-cell cloning, picking/transfer efficiencies of up to 100% can be achieved.
Applications
CellCelector Flex has three interchangeable selection modules, with automatic module recognition and fast loading of applicable protocols and parameters. With this unique feature, the CellCelector Flex system can be easily shared by several research groups
Accessories
CellCelector Flex eliminates the need to purchase additional expensive consumables or reagents. It is adaptable to use a wide range of adapters to handle all common laboratory equipment, including source slides installed on a microscope stand or destination slides mounted on a robot tray.

Software
An intuitive, graphical user interface guides users through experimental steps, with different levels of account access, allowing new users to comfortably manage the software while providing advanced features and customization options for advanced users. CellCelector Flex enables users to perform simple, everyday operations as well as sophisticated and complex experiments.
Simple workflow
A standard workflow consists of up to five steps: scan, analyze, detect, select and document. The software guides users through each individual step, allowing access to only the features and data required for each specific work step.
Scanning
Scans can be performed in bright field, phase contrast or over 6 fluorescence channels, resulting in up to 14 colors. Each scan operates according to predefined settings to guarantee successful recognition and detection of cell patterns.
The most common tile formats are preinstalled in the system, and new, user-defined formats can be easily added to the tile library.

Analysis & detection
Each scan is automatically analyzed to detect target cells of interest, based on user-defined parameters such as gray value or fluorescence intensity. Users can also define a wide range of morphological measurements, such as area, diameter, form factor, sphericity, and more.
Review & selection
The analyzed results are listed as detected objects based on the corresponding parameter values and can be further filtered based on user-defined parameters. Detected target cells are visualized in different gallery modes, allowing for quick visual confirmation of the particle list. Semi-automatic or manual on-screen selection by the user is also available.

Picking
The CellCelector Flex software gives the operator access to a wide range of collection parameters, such as volumes, collection heights, aspiration and dispensing rates. These parameters can be adjusted for optimal collection results, allowing the system to collect not only from standard cell culture dishes but also from membranes, filters or microscope slides.
Documentation
Each experiment is fully documented and compliant with GLP and GMP standards. Each detected/selected object can be identified and tracked by its unique ID throughout the entire process. All data can be easily exported for the purpose of documentation or archiving or imported into the LIM system.
