Sartorius offers a wide portfolio of high quality ash-free filters (ash content <0.01%), 100% cotton fiber filters designed specifically for quantitative and gravimetric analysis. Filters come in a variety of thicknesses, characteristics and flow rates from wide and fast to narrow pores and slow speeds – each uniquely designed to address a particular filtration challenge.

Qualitative filter papers
These types of paper are specifically designed for analytical purposes and routine analysis. Quality filter papers are available for a wide range of different needs and applications. Like other filter papers, Sartorius high-quality filter papers are available in multiple diameters, thicknesses and filtration rates, and are supplied in discs, sheets or folded – depending on your needs.

Filter papers for liquid adsorption
Whenever a liquid must be captured, Sartorius offers a large variety of paper grades to ensure best results. Filter papers for absorption are used not only for general absorption applications but also for blotting, chromatography, seed germination tests or even protection of surfaces.

Filter papers for special applications
Two special papers to clarify suspensions with very coarse particles or solutions with a high load of finest particles – or for the separation of liquids with hydrophobic and hydrophilic phase.
- diatomaceous Earth filter paper, grade 470, to retain finest particles at high flow rates
- phase Separator Paper, grade 480, an impregnated paper with stabilized silicon to retain water and allows solvents to flow through
