Unisart® nitrocellulose membranes

Line lines or dotted strips are still widely used for in vitro diagnostic tests. Many infectious diseases generate a complex immune response and require antibody profiling in the patient’s serum. To do this, different immuno-dominant antigens must be applied in series or dots to a uniform binding substrate. Today, long after the first membrane was used for “blotting”, the nitrocellulose membrane still represents the best substrate for proteins.

Unisart® 0.2 μm and 0.45 μm membranes show an optimized protein structure, with small pore sizes for high protein binding capacity.

Unisart® membranes with small pores are well adapted to all protein blotting systems after gel electrophoresis.

The Unisart® membrane series is manufactured in Germany with state-of-the-art production equipment. The membranes are developed, manufactured and distributed in accordance with a quality management system certified in accordance with DIN / ISO 9001.

New modern casting devices enable the production of large series of nitrocellulose membranes with small pores of high consistency.
